ENERGY

Nuclear is the safest, most efficient form of energy available and I want to lower Georgia’s power bills by building modern nuclear power plants.

In 2022, natural gas accounted for 47% of Georgia’s total electricity net generation, and nuclear power accounted for 27%. Coal accounted for about 13% and renewable energy, including hydroelectric power and small-scale solar, accounted for nearly 13%.

Obviously, Georgia needs to invest in modern nuclear power. It’s the safest, most efficient source of energy available. Yes, safer than solar and wind. Yes, more efficient than natural gas.

It is ridiculous that Georgia still uses coal at all. It’s dangerous, inefficient, and barbaric. Whereas nuclear is clean and safe and will create many good-paying jobs while lowering energy bills.

We should build more plants until Georgia has an excess of energy and stands as a source for neighboring states.
