In a perfect America, schools should be free to all… magnificent structures dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, intelligence, and the betterment of humankind.

Teachers are a cherished and prized resource. The best of them should be making six figure salaries

Students should emerge as educated adults prepared for the pursuit of happiness and the responsibilities and rewards of citizenship.

An educated populace makes for higher paying jobs, more consumer spending, a rising economy, and the ability to compete in a global market. And an informed electorate eager to vote for scientists, artists, economists, writers, etc., unimpressed by business tycoons, corrupt lawyers, and cliche-spouting reverends.

Free education should be merit-based and should include everything from Criminal Justice to welding to literature.

Free education isn’t charity. It’s an economic necessity that will take our nation to the next level. Otherwise, we will be China’s bitches as we helplessly watch Islamic terrorism destroy one democracy after another.

If we are to preserve our sacred Republic, we need to make certain our children are taught its history, and prepare them to be its future.

Unfortunately, we don’t live in that America yet. Colleges today seem to be under incompetent stewardship. Watching the recent demonstrations, it is clear that many students are ignorant of civics, history, economics, etc. I certainly don’t want to pay for the mess we’ve seen lately. And I don’t want to forgive student loans of kids who have learned only to hate their country.
